Evidencer has under gone various changes and functionality add-ons’ eventually to make it easier and user friendly and the latest release on Evidencer was done on 11th Oct 2010.

Evidencer mainly comes under two categories; one is with the client server package and as a standalone package that can be customized for meeting the customer’s requirement. Multi users can work on the application from different locations and start recording from those sites simultaneously and those live recordings can be accessed at the same time. The technologies behind Evidencer are QT, Direct Show and SQL. A dual level access security can be configured for accessing Evidencer, which includes the windows domain users’ configuration and the normal Evidencer User configuration. Using the Domain User configuration, the domain users in a Network can be directly get logged into this application using their own windows domain user name and password. No need for creating any separate login credentials for these domain users. The other type of normal Evidencer User configuration can be used for normal user settings.

The centralized data storage capability allows the users to access Evidencer across the network from different locations and department who can attain all the possible information’s along with the digitized files. Inbuilt features of Evidencer annotate and archives the discussions happened in the meeting room or the trials and proceedings at courtrooms. It allows the user to view live video / audio recording and playback recorded files. The Recorder and Media player function effectively captures and plays back courtroom proceedings. Log notes, an electronic note taking program is used by clerks / secretaries for easy and fast note taking.

• Evidencer Player
  • Evidencer's powerful playback features lets user’s playback recorded and archived audio-video files with ease. You can listen and watch captured files even from remote locations. The player gives you complete control over recordings. You can playback specific areas by accessing the log entries from the log notes area.

• Evidencer Recorder
  • Evidencer Recorder product allows users to record, archive and playback live audio and video using 4, 8 or 16-channel audio modes. The recorder also sports features to view and listen to archived audio and video. With Evidencer recorder at your disposal, you can control archiving of audio and video from remote locations. You can even adjust audio levels remotely.

• Evidencer Network Console
  • Evidencer’s Network Console provides features to remotely manage recording and playback of audio-video over a secure network. Features included remotely managing recording, playback, controlling audio levels, inserting log notes, and playback using log note entries.

• Evidencer FTP Backup Module
  • Evidencer's FTP Backup module helps you to archive recorded files in the local network or at a remote location using FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Archived files can later be downloaded from remote locations.

  • The Log Notes feature of Evidencer helps inserts log entries into audio-video sequences while recording is in progress. When log notes are inserted, a bookmark is placed in the audio-video recording stream. This helps in easy playback and search. In a Courtroom scenario, when log notes are inserted by the Court Reporter, he can place a bookmark to easily identify the cross-examination of a witness or others. Using powerful search features or by accessing the log note entry, the cross-examination can be played back with ease. The in-built spell checker ensures that log note is correct and error-free.
